Job Summary:

An ambitious individual with 4 to 8 years of relevant and a strong understanding of Business Continuity Planning. He/she should possess effective communication skills. Should be amenable to work in high pressure, especially during contingencies. Partners with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., ISO 22301) drives crisis preparedness and fosters a culture of safety and resilience.

  • Responsible for implementing changes / improvements / new initiatives / standardization related to BCM across all GSCs within his / her process. His/ Her responsibility is to make sure that the process complies with the BCM framework by completing the activities like Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Process risk assessments, creating, establishing the Functional Business Continuity Plans (FBCP) and implementing the apt recovery strategies.
  • Periodically review the list of critical processes or activities for the process
  • Work closely with migration managers to make sure that the new processes and activities are included and reviewed under BCMS framework.
  • Maintain the recovery strategy current and accurate as per business requirements.
  • Carry out monthly employee BCP awareness sessions for the respective process
  • Responsible for ensuring that the process at his/her site is fully prepared to handle contingencies, key activities like;
  • Updating the process vital records such as shift schedule, employee contact details, Access requirements, keeping most updated list of BCP pool staff on the BCP SharePoint, rotation of BCP pool as per process policy, updating the process exception matrix and cross training material on BCP SharePoint etc.
  • Responsible for executing various BCMS activities in the process at a site such as relooking and revising the Business Continuity Strategy, contact lists, Functional Business Continuity Plan (FBCP) etc. (depending upon the Recovery strategy)
  • Responsible to execute the process BCMS tests/trainings along with process PCO’s as per the defined frequencies
  • During crisis he/she will act as a SPOC for all PCOs to coordinate the recovery.
  • Ensure the process is being recovered as per FBCP during crisis.
  • Provides the process recovery status at regular interval to the Process Leads.

Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of Business Continuity Planning (BCP/BCMS)
  • Knowledge of ISO 22301 and compliance requirements
  • Experience performing Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and process risk assessments
  • Experience creating and implementing Functional Business Continuity Plans (FBCP) and recovery strategies
  • Ability to run BCMS tests, trainings, and process-level exercises as per defined frequencies
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including conducting employee awareness sessions
  • Ability to act as single point of contact (SPOC) and coordinate recovery during crises
  • Maintain and update process vital records (shift schedules, contact details, access requirements) and BCP SharePoint content
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and migration managers to include new processes in BCMS
  • Able to work under high pressure during contingencies
