Secondaries: Acquire limited partnership interests in seasoned private equity funds, and structure and execute GP-led secondary transactions
Private Credit: Invests on a primary or secondary basis in junior and senior private debt instruments, including first and second lien, unitranche, mezzanine and preferred instruments, in profitable and cash-generative private equity-owned companies
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage investment planning and portfolio construction for the customized separate accounts programs with the Japanese investors as one of the “Japan Coverage Team / Japan Desk” members based in New York, including assisting with the production and presentation of materials, organizing and coordinating onsite meetings for Japanese client
Liaise with investment team members, legal, finance and Japanese sales force in Tokyo to prepare responses to RFPs, respond to other prospect /client inquiries and deliver monitoring reports
Build deep understanding of private investment strategies, including Primary fund investments, Equity Co-investments, Secondaries, Private Credit and a number of other Specialty Strategies in serving as a product specialist for the Japanese sales team
Experience & Skills Qualifications:
2 - 4 years of relevant professional experience is preferable (i.e., investment banking, private equity marketing / accounting / reporting or placement agent)
English proficiency is required
Japanese proficiency is required
Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $100,000-$150,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package.
