OVERVIEW

Founded in 1967, Analogic Corporation has become the leading provider of advanced security screening technology for the aviation industry. Our high-speed Computed Tomography (CT) Explosive Detection Systems meet the highest international standards for automated threat detection and play a key role in keeping the flying public safe. Our team is developing the next generation of security screening solutions for airports worldwide while maintaining a large deployed fleet. Analogic is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Senior Principal Systems Engineer to bepart of a team producing industry leading technology for Airport Security.

SUMMARY

The selected candidate will be responsible for feature-level technical leadership and contribute to technical realization of product releases in the Security business that will help protect the lives of millions of people around the world.

The selected candidate will be a creative self-starter capable of executing complex tasks on time with minimal supervision. The selected candidate must have strong attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires an expert knowledge of system engineering principles and the capability to lead mechanical, electrical, software, test and CT-physics disciplines on projects of large scope and high commercial importance.

DUTIES

  • Technical leadership/architect for features as part of a new product release or sustaining activities.
  • Translate user requirements, requirements management, top level design, and decomposition of derived requirements.
  • Plan, conduct and supervise engineering research, development and/or manufacturing activities on projects with large scope and high commercial importance.
  • Enable fast prototyping of new features by owning design, modeling and implementation.
  • Work across functions and team boundaries to define effective feature integration and verification plans.
  • Systems Risk Management leader for complex CT scanners.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Recognized as a technical expert with a broad and deep technical range. Applies inventive, original and creative approaches to assigned tasks.
  • Knowledge of system design, software development, test and manufacturing processes.
  • Prior experience/knowledge of CT systems design and test to include CT technology, explosive detection systems, and/or detector design and manufacture.
  • Proven excellence in technical leadership in a matrix environment with ability to work with cross-functional teams to drive the output.
  • Experienced in design control and process.
  • Knowledge of regulatory/compliance testing. Examples include: FDA 21CFR820.30, IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-2-44 and ISO 14971.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills while communicating.
  • Good leadership, integration and influencing skills.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Physics or Software Engineering plus 15 or more years of related experience.
