Position Overview:
This opportunity is with Citrix Workspace Security group. Among other solutions, this group builds Citrix Secure Private Access product which is world's highest performing and secure solution to provide access to internal apps. In this role, you will work within a team of software engineers on problems of high complexity on our secure access and Zero Trust security solutions. The Principal Systems Development Engineer is an advanced software engineer who designs, leads, develops, troubleshoots and debugs complex software applications, with increased responsibility for leadership and direction of others. The role recognized as a specialist in multiple fields, advises on design and development approach, and often acts as a Senior Tech Lead working on complex projects and issues where analysis of situations or data requires both broad and in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The role also exercises seasoned judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. You will be involved with planning and prioritization of design and development activities to resolve a wide range of issues. You will be expected to demonstrate the ability to multitask.
Key Responsibilities
- Feature Implementation: Take ownership of implementing complex features and functionalities according to business requirements and technical specifications.
- Architectural Leadership: Lead the architectural design and implementation of the Citrix Workspace solution, ensuring performance, security and maintainability.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, gather feedback, and prioritize features for development.
- Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain code quality, adherence to coding standards, and performance optimization.
- Agile Development: Embrace Agile methodologies to deliver features iteratively, ensuring rapid development cycles and continuous improvement.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering their growth and development within the team.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in C++ development to implement core functionalities
Basic Qualifications:
- B.E/BTech or MTech in Computer Science or related engineering field with minimum of 12+ years of hands-on development experience.
- Very good object-oriented programming development knowledge and hand -on experience working with C++, along with advanced knowledge of concepts in operating systems, networking and security
- Expertise in Multi-Threaded Programming, crash dump analysis is a must.
- Strong knowledge of computer science concepts like Operating system, Networking, Data Structure and algorithms.
- Experience working on public cloud such as Azure, AWS etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility to work on different platforms and technologies like cloud, networking etc according to business needs.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Preferred experience with HTTP, internet protocols and TCP Stacks
- Specific implementation experience with cloud application security solutions
- Good to have experience with docker, k8s
