The Role and The Team

Fulfilment Core within Zalando builds and operates systems that are at the core of Zalando’s platform strategy and ensure timely, efficient and correct delivery of every one of our customers’ 185+ million orders every year. As a Principal Product Manager in Fulfillment Planning and Execution, you will shape products that ensure the optimal match making between our customers demand and our fulfillment ressources. The execution of orders is hereby not only related to customer orders: We help Stakeholders from various business units to orchestrate internal orders within the Fufillment Network to move goods inside and outside the Fulfillment Network for different purposes.

  • You are the go-to person for your product. You pursue a deep understanding of our customers’ needs, driving relevant research within the organisation and diving into large data sets to generate and validate your ideas.

  • You own the product backlog and work together with our high-performing engineers, collaborate with internal stakeholders in various Zalando departments to ensure that priorities are aligned and we solve something that matters - not because somebody said so.

  • You have very good communication and stakeholder management skills as well as the ability to manage projects with many dependencies.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF…

  • You have First hand digital product management experience in all four phases of product management from discovery to delivery in an agile environment

  • You are able to build trust with key stakeholders to align multiple teams and deliver on strategic initiatives

  • You have Experience in e-commerce preferably in the area of order fulfillment

  • You have good verbal and written communication skills, ability to clearly communicate your product vision in simple and easy to understand language for a broad audience, including senior management, your teams, as well as stakeholders and colleagues from within and outside the team

  • You have a strong business acumen, attention to detail, strong analytical mindset and a passion for solving problems; ability to bridge the gap between business and technology
