Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal OR Sr. Principal Project Management to join our team in Melbourne, FL.
This position will be responsible for managing CAM networks associated with Supplier MRB on a classified program. Applicants will need extensive experience working with EVM to include the ability to obtain CAM certification/qualification.
Duties Include:
- Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
- Review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
- Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
This position can be filled at the Principal Project Management level or the Senior Principal Project Management level, depending upon the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Management:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience in project management OR Master’s degree with 3 years’ experience in project management.
- Ability to obtain CAM certification
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working with and manipulating detail-oriented data
- Understanding and application of Program Management principles
- A current active US Government Secret security clearance or higher is required to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain SAP/PAR clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs

- Bachelor’s degree with 8 years’ experience in project management, OR Master’s degree with 6 years’ experience in project management
- Ability to obtain CAM certification

- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working with and manipulating detail-oriented data
- Understanding and application of Program Management principles

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
