Your day at NTT DATA
As a Principal Networking Client Partner at NTT DATA, you will be the go-to expert in networking and a key player in our sales team. Your primary role will be to identify, develop, and close managed service and outsourcing deals, partnering closely with our services teams. You will act as a trusted advisor to our clients, guiding them through our cloud-managed services and engaging with decision-makers to close opportunities.
You will work directly with clients at various levels, internal sales teams, and delivery experts such as Client Managers and pre-sales service architects. Post-sale, you will engage delivery teams to ensure client needs are met, thus fostering more sales opportunities. Your focus will be on balancing technology requirements with business outcomes, turning clients into long-term partners.
Building strong stakeholder relationships is key. You will fully understand the clients' industries and the solutions needed to convert them to managed services clients. You will design and execute competitive win strategies, ensuring our services are seamlessly integrated into their operations. Your efforts will support long-term client satisfaction with multi-year renewals.
Your role also includes guiding the construction of managed services deals, from commercial modeling to negotiating contractual terms. You will drive the sales process, managing a pipeline of opportunities and creating strategies to meet sales targets such as acquiring new customers, cross-selling, and upselling. You will also track and manage work scopes and proposals, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.

To thrive in this role, you need to have:
  • An excellent understanding of network security principles and products.
  • Proficiency in positioning our service offerings, spanning multiple technology domains such as cloud infrastructure, managed services, support services, consulting services, and technical services.
  • Thorough knowledge of networking in a cloud environment to enable effective solution design.
  • Insight into broader IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, virtualization, and DATA centers.
  • A strong grasp of financial statements and metrics to support strategic client conversations.
  • A proven track record of selling managed services solutions to large enterprise accounts.
  • Familiarity with a business outcome-led approach to sales.
  • A client-centric mindset coupled with problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and business acumen to craft mutually beneficial solutions.
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical or sales field, or related experience.
