Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Storage Provisioning to support and deliver enterprise Block, File, Object Storage, and Backup/Data Protection services. The role focuses on storage provisioning, L2/L3 operational support, automation, dashboards/reporting, and continuous platform improvement in a large-scale enterprise environment.
In this role, you will:
- Provision and support enterprise storage platforms across Block, File, Object, and Backup technologies
- Provide L2/L3 support for storage incidents, performance, capacity, and availability issues
- Handle storage requests including provisioning, expansion, reclamation, and lifecycle management
- Work with architecture teams on solution evaluation, release certification, and upgrades
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows for provisioning and operations
- Build and maintain operational dashboards and reports (capacity, utilization, health)
- Participate in incident, change, and problem management, including on-call support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability and service delivery
- 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- 5+ years of enterprise storage engineering and provisioning experience
- Hands-on expertise in at least two of the following domains:
- Block Storage: Dell PowerMax, Pure
- File Storage: NetApp ONTAP
- Object Storage: HCP, NetApp StorageGRID
- Backup & Data Protection: NetBackup, Cohesity
- Strong understanding of SAN, NAS, Object Storage, backup, replication, capacity, and recovery
- Experience working in production ITSM environments (incident/change management)
- Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, or similar)
- Exposure to dashboards and reporting tools for operational insights
- Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application in operations or analytics
- Knowledge of Linux/Windows/VMware environments
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in global, 24x7 enterprise environments
- Deliver reliable and timely storage provisioning and L2/L3 operational support across Block, File, Object, and Backup platforms
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage incidents impacting performance, capacity, or availability
- Adhere to change, incident, and operational standards in a 24x7 enterprise environment
- Leverage automation and dashboards to improve efficiency, visibility, and service quality
- Collaborate effectively with architecture, operations, and cross-functional teams
- Maintain a strong customer-focused and risk-aware approach to service delivery
