Key Responsibilities of the Team:
- Technical Ownership: Drive the development of complex embedded applications and reference designs using Renesas MCUs, with a focus on motor control, inverter, communication gateway, and other key automotive applications.
- Embedded Architecture and Firmware Expertise: Provide deep technical direction on low-level embedded programming, real-time operating systems, hardware abstraction layers, and system performance optimization.
- Customer and Ecosystem Enablement: Serve as a senior technical advisor to strategic automotive customers, supporting integration and deployment of MCU solutions within their systems.
- Marketing and Sales Support: Offer efficient technical assistance to our marketing and sales teams during design activities, ensuring successful implementation and integration.
- Provide technical training to FAE, Sales, partners, and customers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with hardware and software teams to ensure cohesive, robust, and scalable solutions.
- Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor junior engineers and application teams, promoting knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field of study.
- 8+ years of experience in embedded systems software development, ideally within the automotive domain.
- Deep knowledge of:
- Embedded processors and microcontroller architectures in automotive applications
- Embedded operating systems
- Automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
- Low-level embedded programming in C, and scripting with Python or equivalent
- Development, integration, and debugging of low-level drivers and firmware components, including hardware abstraction layers and related middleware
- Board-level design, circuit analysis, debugging with tools such as oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
- Automated and system-level testing frameworks and methodologies
- Motivation to initiate and drive projects to completion with an open mind for working in an international environment.
- Good sense of understanding technical requirements and customer expectations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to represent technical solutions clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
