Job Summary
As a Principle Engineer, Electrical & Control Engineering at Micron, you will be at the forefront of leading our Fab10 Facilities Electrical & Control Engineering team. This outstanding opportunity allows you to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical electrical and automation infrastructure supporting semiconductor manufacturing. Your role will be pivotal in driving continuous improvement initiatives that align with our business objectives and maintaining flawless system reliability and operational excellence!
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop an ambitious team of electrical and control engineers to achieve safety, reliability, and cost performance targets.
- Foster the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, and digital technologies within Facilities operations to improve reliability, operational efficiency, and decision-making
- Ensure the safe operation and upkeep of HV, MV, LV electrical distribution systems, UPS, generators, PLC, SCADA, instrumentation, and facility automation systems.
- Drive equipment reliability and system availability through predictive maintenance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement programs.
- Successfully implement maintenance, asset management, and obsolescence strategies for critical facility infrastructure.
- Support Fab capacity expansion projects, tool installations, and facility upgrades by providing engineering leadership and project oversight.
- Manage contractor performance, engineering standards, and compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, construction, procurement, and global engineering teams to support business growth and technology node transitions.
- Monitor and manage department benchmarks, budgets, energy efficiency initiatives, and operational excellence programs.
- Build organizational capability through mentoring, succession planning, talent development, and employee engagement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of relevant engineering experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, data center, or critical facilities environments.
- 5+ years of people leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, facility automation, PLC/SCADA platforms, and reliability engineering principles.
