Principal Design Strategist - UI/UX II

BE PART OF THE CONNECTION
As a Principal Design Strategist - UI/UX II on this team, you will be responsible for driving the forward looking design strategies that will drive customer and business success on our self-service platforms. This role will be expected to analyze and interpret customer data, both qualitative and quantitative, understand business priorities and technology possibilities and constraints to formulate both short term and long term design improvement recommendations. These recommendations should include improvements to our design patterns, improvements to data collection and interpretation that helps enhance our understanding of effectiveness of design and forward-looking design initiative roadmapping.
This role will work closely with leaders both within the self-service platforms group as well as groups throughout Spectrum so this strategist should have experience in and be comfortable with creating and presenting work aimed at executives within a large corporate environment.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- Digital design experience - 10+ years
- Experience with basic prototyping tools - 6+ years
- Experience with common Interface Tools (Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Sketch) - 6+ years
- Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Design/Art/HCI/Media/Related Field or equivalent experience
- Extensive experience with project estimation
- Extensive experience with planning and facilitating user research and usability tests needed
- Extensive experience with creating highly-detailed annotated wireframes, user flows, and process flows within consumer applications
- Technical Skills:
- Expert knowledge of user-centered design (UCD) process methods to digital applications from concept
- Expert knowledge of new design techniques
- Expert understanding of platform specific nomenclature
- Expert ability to sketch and generate big-picture ideas for early-stage UX work
- Expert understanding of UX best practices
- Expert ability to deliver against several initiatives simultaneously
- Skills:
- Demonstrates excellent time management skills and the ability to be self-directed when needed
- Demonstrates excellent client (presentation) communication skills and the ability to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
- Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Ability to demonstrate UI and UX design skills via portfolio
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
- Ability to be fully engaged and a positive member of a collaborative team
- Travel Ability: Office Environment

The pay for this position has a salary range of
$124,000.00 to $288,100.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
