Principal Consultant - Technical Architect

As a Principal Consulting Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing robust client solutions around our IRIS and TotalView products. It requires application development and deployment skills, hands-on configuration and problem-solving, and customer presence and presentation abilities to deliver top-notch solutions tailored to meet our clients' unique requirements.

Responsibilities:
Consultation and Analysis
-
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and requirements.
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing customer database systems, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Advise, guide, and educate customers on proper usage and implementation best practices.
Project Management
-
- Work collaboratively with the customer project team, our internal global InterSystems financial solutions team and associated IRIS teams to satisfy customer project requirements.
- Develop comprehensive implementation plans, considering technical architectures, model design, migration strategies, and operational best practices.
- Work individually or lead a team of professional services resources to successfully execute customer implementation projects, meeting the defined and agreed upon deadlines/milestones.
Technical Expertise

- Architect and design database solutions that align with clients' business goals and industry best practices.
- Execute on plan by implementing solutions from install through configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Coordinate with product management to enhance product offerings based on client desires/needs.
Customer Relationship Building:
-
- Present strategy and project plans to customer stakeholders.
- Coordinate with InterSystems' Account Representatives, Sales, Support, and other departments to ensure a seamless and productive relationship with our clients.
- Write competitive proposals and business cases for services to support our product offerings.
Qualifications:
- 7+years of experience in business consulting to clients focused on digital transformation, data integration and management, building operational and / or analytic applications, with deep knowledge of data management architectures, technologies, and high-quality application design.
- 3+ years of demonstrated ability to identify, shape, sell, and lead management consulting work commercially, working collaboratively with client leaders and teams
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong technical and business writing skills
- Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrated experience with most/all of the following:

- SQL and ODBC / JDBC
- Object-Oriented programming languages
- XML, XSLT, JSON, SOAP, REST
- Cloud hardware services, containers, Kubernetes, etc.
- Windows, Unix/Linux, MAC OS X
- API Management
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Math, or technical / analytical equivalent
