Principal Business Systems Analyst - Finance

We are seeking an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Finance Business Analyst with strong expertise in Project Accounting. The ideal candidate will partner with and support global finance operations, lead functional design, and collaborate with technical teams to deliver enhancements, resolve issues, and optimize business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Project Management teams to understand business needs and translate them into functional requirements.

• Support and improve Oracle EBS R12 Finance modules and processes, including

• General Ledger (GL)

• Accounts Payable (AP)

• Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Fixed Assets (FA)

• Cash Management (CM)

• Project Accounting (PA)

• Lead configuration, testing, and deployment of enhancements, patches, and new functionality.

• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate fixes with technical teams.

• Develop functional design documents (MD50), test scripts, and user training materials.

• Support month-end and year-end close activities.

• Ensure compliance with SOX, audit requirements, and internal controls.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system integrations and data flows.

• Assist in planning and executing upgrades, migrations, and process improvements.

• Communication and interpersonal skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with Business stakeholders

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an Oracle EBS Finance Functional Analyst

• Hands-on experience with Oracle Project Accounting (Costing, Billing, Contracts, Assets)

• Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes

• Ability to write functional specifications and work closely with technical developers

• Experience with Oracle R12 (12.1.x or 12.2.x)

• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Able to demonstrate results improving processes and/ or systems to create positive business results

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Workflow, AME, and public APIs

• Knowledge of integrations with third-party systems

• Familiarity with SQL for data validation

• Experience in a fast-paced, project-driven environment

• Cross functional business process experience

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
