Job Summary
Carry out the management of prices according to the guidelines and plans established by the organization.
Verify trending and monitor external information of the market, competitors, products, prices, and seasonality, among others.
Develop pricing strategies and verify competition prices, product lines, and market trends. Act on viability of rates, rules, trade policies, and promotions, and conduct follow-up studies of prices and costs to ensure the profitability of the goods or to create new product prices.
Calculate cost planned for new products. Serve as a support for business analysts and sales teams in the affairs related to the pricing of sales orders and commercial policy of the group.
Design and manage information systems to ensure the accuracy of information for the organization's decision-making processes of pricing information on the market, competition, and consumer behavior.
Job Responsibilities
Pricing Strategy - Contribute to the formation of one or more elements of the pricing strategy through specialist expertise and insights, to ensure that the strategy meets business needs.
Cost Price Calculation - Develop optimization models and intelligence for cost price and/or project estimation of existing and new products and/or projects based on historical data, market data, and input of commercial teams.
Competitor Assessment - Lead a project or area within the realm of competitor assessment, ensuring accurate analysis of competitor strengths and weaknesses, and identification of opportunities and threats.
Data Collection and Analysis - Conduct research using primary data sources and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
Operational Compliance - Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and ensure own work adheres to required standards. Or identify, within the team, patterns of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and with relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, taking appropriate action to report and resolve these and escalating issues as appropriate.
Data Exploration - Conduct research and select relevant information to enable analysis of key themes and trends using primary data sources and business intelligence tools. Solutions Analysis - Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures, and precedents.
Information and Business Advice - Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring issues to others where necessary for interpretation of policy.
Data Management - Help others get the most out of data management systems by providing support and advice.
Personal Capability Building - Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
Experience Level
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Finance or Accounting or a related field, with an interest in financial analysis and business operations.
Relevant experience in pricing, deal support, or contract review, understanding of profit and loss statements, revenue, and cost drivers, and their impact on margin analysis and profitability.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support business decisions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to organize, analyze, and present information accurately.
Familiarity with AI-enabled tools or a willingness to learn how they can be used to improve workflows, automate routine tasks, and support decision-making.
Experience creating reports, maintaining data, and working with large datasets; ability to identify and resolve data quality issues.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to a variety of audiences.
Collaborative team player with the ability to build positive working relationships across cross-functional teams.
