The Pricing Manager leads pricing strategy, governance, and execution across Assurant’s AVR sales channels (direct, 30-day POs, auctions, and others). This role drives optimal balance between margin, recovery, and velocity by setting pricing strategies, enforcing guardrails, and enabling data-driven decision-making. The position partners closely with Sales and Operations while leading a team of analysts and advancing pricing capabilities through analytics, automation, and continuous improvement.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
- Define, implement, and oversee channel-specific pricing strategies and guardrails
- Approve pricing within authority levels, ensuring alignment with margin, recovery, and sell-through targets
- Develop and refine auction strategies (item selection, timing, reserve/target pricing)
- Analyze performance, identify root causes, and implement continuous improvements
- Enhance pricing models, workflows, and tools using advanced analytics and ML/AI where applicable
- Own performance measurement, reporting, and actionable insights for leadership
- Lead and develop Pricing Analysts, ensuring quality, prioritization, and performance against defined KPIs
- Collaborate with Sales, Sales Support, and Operations to meet SLAs and align pricing decisions
- Support negotiations and ensure adherence to strategy and governance
- Oversee 30-day PO pricing process, ensuring compliance and efficiency
- Support pricing for trade-in and upgrade programs with consistent governance
- Translate pricing needs into system requirements and partner with development teams
- Deliver ad hoc analyses, business cases, and insights to support leadership decision-making
What are the requirements needed for this position?
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in pricing, analytics, or finance
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Self-starter with a high level of initiative and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or Data Analytics
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle)
- Power BI or similar visualization tools

Pay Range:
$103,800.00 - $173,300.00Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
