About the Role
We’re looking for a Solution Engineer to join our growing Slack team in Northern Europe, focused on helping customers reimagine how work gets done. Slack, now part of Salesforce, is the productivity platform that empowers teams to work faster, smarter, and more securely.
As a Solution Engineer, you'll partner with our Account Executives to uncover customer challenges, demonstrate the value of Slack, and guide organizations through their evaluation and decision-making process. This is a highly consultative and strategic role, perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and business outcomes.
Location Requirement:
Candidates should be based in Stockholm, Helsinki, or Oslo, and speak both the local language and English fluently.
Collaborate with Account Executives to drive complex sales cycles across a range of industries and business functions
Lead technical discovery to identify customer pain points, goals, and success criteria
Design and deliver high-impact product demonstrations and presentations that clearly articulate Slack’s value
Create tailored Slack-based solutions that drive real business outcomes and ROI
Support security, compliance, and architecture conversations, and help address any technical objections
Act as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the evaluation process
Provide feedback to Product and Marketing teams based on customer insights and market trends
Contribute to the growth and evolution of our dynamic Solution Engineering team
4–6 years of experience in a pre-sales, solution engineering, or consulting role, preferably in a SaaS or tech-first organization
Proven experience working with technical stakeholders (e.g. developers, engineering teams, DevOps) and aligning solutions to their workflows
Ability to translate business needs into actionable, solution-oriented narratives for diverse personas
Experience demonstrating software to non-technical audiences in at least two functional areas (e.g. Sales, Service, HR, Finance)
Strong presentation and communication skills, you can tell a compelling story (and bonus points if you’re emoji fluent :sparkles:)
A natural problem solver who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments
Familiarity with the broader enterprise SaaS ecosystem and modern workplace tools
