Position Overview:
Reporting to the Premium Audit Supervisor, the Premium Auditor will conduct insurance premium audits for Workers Compensation policies. This is a hybrid, 3 days in office position based in our Atlanta Office.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing for and corresponding with clients to set up audit appointments
Examining policyholder’s records and gathering data to determine earned premium for risks are accurate
Verifying correct classes are being applied and in accordance with company procedures
Writing an effective description of operations
Preparing audit worksheet, communicating and explaining the results to stakeholders
Applying NCCI Basic Manual and independent state bureau rules and principles
Adhering to company standards and business ethics
Maintaining confidentiality
Attending court hearings, as needed, including testifying regarding audit findings
- Reviewing claims activity on policies to ensure that employee coding is consistent and accurate
- Discussing issues and problems with the insured to ensure understanding of the change in premium exposures and to maintain good customer relations

Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of premium audit experience
- High school diploma
- Ability to work independently
- Working knowledge of insurance and accounting principles
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Must be self-motivated, self-disciplined and exhibit a willingness to learn
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor
- Ability to Travel with some overnight stay, including occasional out of state travel
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
