What is to be done?
- Design,
build and bring into production high performance power electronics hardware for
use in automotive applications, specifically for a range of superbikes.
- Collaborate
with firmware, mechanical engineering, PCB design, sourcing, quality, compliance,
and manufacturing teams.
- Responsible
and own a part or complete hardware design from conceptualization to testing
and production.
- Prepare
and keep up to date the documentation related to design and development, as
well as effectively communicate technical and non-technical information to
relevant stakeholders.
- Build
intellectual property and reduce these into practice.
Requirements
What is required?
- Commitment
and passion towards all things engineering, in general, and power electronics,
in specific. Drive towards creating new ideas and bringing them to practice.
- Strong
work ethic, bias towards action, and readiness to be outside own’s comfort
zone.
- Strong
background in and keen understanding of power electronics topologies in AC/DC
and DC/DC power conversion systems.
6. Hands-on experience with software tools for circuit simulation (LTSPICE, PLECS, PSIM, Simulink), scripting languages (MATLAB, Python, Octave), PCB Design tools (Altium, Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Eagle). Experience with FEM tools (ANSYS, COMSOL) will also be handy.
- Highly
skilled at problem solving and debugging electronic circuits.
- Experience
with designing systems for testing, validation, and manufacturing.
- Fair
understanding and hands-on experience with embedded systems and
microcontrollers will be handy.
- Knowledge
about automotive relevant standards applicable in different geographies is
preferred.
- B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc
or M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc in Electrical Engineering + 3-8 years or more of relevant
hands-on hardware experience in power converter design.
Benefits
- Work
in a fast-paced environment and with a highly motivated team of skilled engineers.
- Develop
state-of-the-art power electronic systems for high-performance superbikes from
scratch.
- Exposure
to different subsystems on the automotive including battery, motor inverter,
charging, VCU, software and user experience.
- For
early career individuals, a hands-on experience and cultivation of skills towards
growing into a well-rounded electrical and power electronics engineer.
