Key Responsibilities
- Preparation: Cleaning, sanding, masking, and treating metal surfaces for proper adhesion.
- Coating Application: Selecting colors, loading powder, and spraying evenly with spray guns (manual or automatic).
- Curing: Moving parts into and out of high temperature curing ovens.
- Quality Control: Inspecting finished products for defects, coverage, and adherence to standards, troubleshooting issues.
- Equipment & Area Maintenance: Cleaning spray guns, booths, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace.
- Documentation: Keeping records of coated parts, colors, and processes.
- Safety: Adhering to all safety procedures, wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and proper disposal of materials.
Skills and Qualifications
- Attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
- Understanding materials, processes, and basic equipment maintenance.
- Physical strength to move parts and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes hot environment.
