Who you are:
As a Postal Specialist with Frost, you are the friendly face dropping off our mail every day. In this role, you will be responsible for selling postal products, processing mail, and completing mail deliveries. Using your systematic approach and observant mindset you will sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, operate postal equipment, prepare sales reports, and complete inventory paperwork. You enjoy being on your feet and love the freedom of traveling to different branches throughout your territory. Most importantly, this role is about ensuring every employee gets what they need, with integrity, caring and excellence in mind.
What you’ll do:
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing U.S and internal mail. This includes picking up and delivering mail to designated areas within the bank
- Operate postal equipment for all outgoing mail to meet daily deadlines
- Operate bank vehicle for pick-ups and deliveries
- Provide normal, certified, registered, and insured mail services; execute sales of stamps, post cards and envelopes
- Prepare daily report of sales and complete inventory paperwork
- Order supplies to maintain appropriate inventory of postal products
- Contacts vendors and complete special requests for bank staff; this includes tracking and locating packages
- Keep current with USPS guidelines
- Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes
What you’ll need:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs on a daily basis
- At least 21 years old with an acceptable driving record
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Proficient in Microsoft computer applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in a postal environment
- Previous experience with mailroom equipment
