Your Opportunity:
This position is a full-time, in-person position reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer. As the Compliance Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist, you will be responsible in ensuring that our operations comply with regulatory standards, monitoring and improving processes, and supporting the organization's adherence to compliance policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance Monitoring
    • Conduct quality reviews of compliance processes, including transaction monitoring, customer due diligence (CDD), and enhanced due diligence (EDD).
    • Audit compliance-related activities to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance and Risk Assessment
    • Assist in identifying, reporting, and mitigating compliance risks.
  • Process Improvement
    • Evaluate current compliance procedures and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes in line with regulatory updates.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records of QA findings and generate comprehensive reports for senior management.
    • Ensure all compliance documentation is up to date and aligns with regulatory requirements.
  • Training and Support
    • Provide feedback and coaching to teams on compliance best practices.
    • Assist in training sessions to enhance compliance awareness across the organization.
  • Regulatory Updates
    • Stay informed of changes in financial regulations and ensure the organization's processes are updated accordingly.


Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of compliance processes, especially in banking or fintech environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively report findings and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Proficiency in compliance software tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is preferred


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, law, or a related field, preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a compliance, quality assurance, or audit role, preferably in banking or fintech.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., BSA/AML, KYC, CFPB, OFAC, etc.).
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a dynamic, technology-driven environment.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
