The Role

A CAREER WITH POINT72’S OPERATIONS TEAM

Point72’s Operations team supports all operational aspects of trade processing, reconciliation, financing, and reporting firmwide for all products, including equities, derivatives, bonds, foreign exchange and futures, and digital assets across global markets.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Perform daily and monthly P&L reconciliations between front‑office and back‑office systems for the firm’s global portfolios.
  • Partner with Middle Office, Back Office, and Valuations teams to investigate and resolve P&L breaks across all asset classes including equities, fixed income, and derivatives.
  • Produce clear, accurate daily P&L variance reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Finalize portfolio manager P&L in our front‑office systems based on thorough variance checks, calculations, and analyses to directly influence investment decisions, investor statements, and compensation processes.
  • Respond to P&L inquiries from portfolio managers, traders, and investment services colleagues, providing fast, insightful answers.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance accuracy, control, speed, and efficiency in P&L reconciliation analysis.

WHAT’S REQUIRED

  • Finance/business/economics/mathematics or related background required
  • 3+ years experience in product control or operations at a hedge fund or bank
  • Knowledge of financial instruments
  • Previous experience with business intelligence tools or process automation
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience with business intelligence tools or process automation – Alteryx, Python, AI or other related
  • High attention to detail aimed at delivering a product that meets our best-in-class standards
