We’re looking for a PMO Analyst to join our Operational Excellence team in either Salford Quays, Manchester or Haywards Heath, West Sussex

In this role you’ll support the Portfolio Insights Manager with the provision of reporting, insight and analysis on value being delivered across the change portfolio and the business. You’ll complete analysis of data available from technology, data, business and finance teams. You will use this analysis to provide insight to business stakeholders, allowing them to make data-driven decisions. You will also produce high quality portfolio reporting to required accuracy, timeliness, standards and frequency.

Core skills we’re looking for to succeed in the role:

  • Analytical skills including turning data into actionable insights (story telling with data)
  • Strong senior stakeholder engagement and the ability to build cross collaborative relationships
  • Appreciation of Change and or Lean Agile principles and methods (value, flow and quality metrics)

What’s involved:

  • Gather leading and lagging measure data and provide consolidated data for a monthly cadence to support the business to inspect and adapt on their defined business plan outcome hypotheses
  • Develop and maintain the established PMO reporting suite, including the monthly Portfolio Pack, Governance Forum(s), Forecasting & ‘Actuals’ and Steering Group Packs as required.
  • Create and maintain the necessary templates, tools, procedures and governance to ensure Lean Agile portfolio reporting is accurate and reports are produced to the highest standard
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting to the necessary forums such as ExCo on the status of the portfolio and Value across the business
  • Collaborate with Senior Change Leads, Finance Business Partners and other stakeholders to ensure:
    • Timely, accurate and high-quality reporting
    • Actionable insights to drive Continuous Improvement
    • Reporting and delivery processes/tools remain effective.
  • Provide reporting to key stakeholders across the business including ExCo
  • Support pillar governance meetings, translating complex information to enable informed decision making
  • Provide the necessary administrative and analytical support to the Portfolio Insights Manager
  • Align to First Central’s Change Framework and contribute to its ongoing development
  • Attend the necessary forums and governance meetings, capturing accurate and timely minutes and actions
  • Log departmental risks, issues and decisions, track and act on agreed actions as appropriate in accordance with department procedures
  • Provide support for outstanding audit actions and ensure these are tracked and monitored
  • Review and implement ways to continuously improve the reporting of portfolio performance
  • Comply with the requirements, and act in accordance with, the Group Code of Conduct and Fitness and Propriety policies at all times
  • Ensure compliance with Company Policies, Values and guidelines and other relevant standards/ regulations at all times.
  • Any other reasonable duties

Experience

  • Experience of designing, presenting and preparing reporting information in multiple formats for different audiences
  • Highly proficient skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience of presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Proficiency in working with a range of data sources including large datasets
  • Experience in effectively visualising complex data, designing and preparing reporting information in multiple formats for different audiences
  • Previous experience/understanding of portfolio management techniques in a fast paced environment (Agile, Prince2 methodologies for medium to large sized initiatives)
