Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Plugin Development: Develop, test, and maintain plugins for tools like Atlassian Jira, Atlassian Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.
• Framework Expertise: Utilize Atlassian Forge or Atlassian Connect frameworks to build integrations and extend platform functionalities.
• Requirement Understanding: Work closely with senior engineers and stakeholders to clarify and implement requirements.
• Code Implementation: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to deliver reliable solutions.
• Testing and Debugging: Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure the quality and stability of plugins.
• Documentation: Create clear and concise technical documentation for code and APIs.
• Collaboration: Partner with team members, including senior developers, QA, and DevOps, to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with platform updates, new APIs, and best practices to maintain high standards.

Technical Skills Required

• Proficiency in Plugin Development: Hands-on experience building plugins for at least one of Atlassian Jira, Atlassian Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.
• Framework Expertise:
  • Experience with Atlassian Forge Framework for serverless app development.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Connect Framework for web-based plugin development.
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.
• API Integration: Knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL, and Webhooks.
• Version Control: Strong understanding of Git workflows.
• Testing: Experience with writing unit and integration tests for plugin functionalities.
• Problem Solving: Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in software development, with at least 1-2 years focused on plugin or integration development.
• Experience with Atlassian Forge and/or Atlassian Connect frameworks is highly desirable.
• Prior experience working with Atlassian, Azure DevOps, or GitHub platforms is a plus.
