We seek a dynamic and highly motivated individual to lead our Data & AppSec (Application Security) teams, within the Security Group.

This pivotal role focuses on driving the successful implementation of our data and AI platform and leveraging it with our AppSec capabilities - including developing, implementing, and monitoring secure procedures and technologies. 

These teams collaborate closely, with the AppSec team concentrating on secure development procedures and technologies, while the data team focuses on security observability for potential violations in production. 

The primary objective is to ensure the highest level of security for our platform environment, including protection, detection, and response to potential vulnerabilities and incidents such as anomaly detection, system protection from abuse, anti-bot measures, and security observability of monday.com products in production.

This position is a senior technical management role within the Security leadership.


About The Role:

  • Leading cross-functional security teams, having an entrepreneurial mindset, and thinking 10X to prepare monday.com for our next phase of working with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Own and shape the future of our data security architecture, establishing a robust technical framework, and setting the direction for data governance.
  • Lead the strategic vision for monday.com security across our platform development lifecycle - from shift left to proactive hunt for security defects in our products
  • Drive secure development lifecycle and integration of security features into all phases of software design and development
  • Work closely with R&D, and infrastructure to enhance application security on all layers
  • Enhance and build our own proprietary monday.com SOC platform for hunting post-production security incidents with BigData events and hunting methods based on BigData

Requirements

  • Previous 5+ years of senior management position (group lead/ director) focus on anomaly detection, AI, fraud, and Big Data, preferably in SaaS organizations
  • 5 or more years in the following: Product security, data security, AppSec 
  • Working in a large engineering organization (>250 developers)
  • Experience with web & application security, familiarity with OWASP frameworks, solutions, and initiatives
  • Exceptional leadership skills, both in the line and matrix
  • Hands-on - able to resolve code/ architecture & data challenges
  • Product experience and engineering mindset
  • A wide spectrum of technical know-how with deep expertise in areas such as Code analysis tools, Data Platforms, Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Artificial Intelligence,
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • Experience in the implementation of the Secure Development Lifecycle.
  • Drive for excellence and a positive “can do” approach.
