Summary Overview of Responsibilities:
A DevOPS engineer is required to:
- Provide proposal and advice on how the latest technologies can be used to create new value proposition (Stability, Agility and cost) for the Team’s applications. Implement the new value proposition. Work with end users, Application Owners and stakeholders in a collaborative way to achieve incremental delivery focused on value.
- Provide proposal and advice on how to improve the team’s application existing value proposition (Stability, Agility and cost). Implement the proposal. Work with end users, Application Owners and stakeholders in a collaborative way to achieve incremental delivery focused on value.
- Provide proposal and advice on how to decrease RUN activities in our organization. Implement the proposal. Work with stakeholders in a collaborative way to achieve incremental delivery of such improvements.
Major Responsibilities:
- Implement end to end solutions with focus on business outcome
- Evaluate cutting-edge technologies and integrate them into existing system.
- Build application performance, predictive analytics systems around our organization’s applications
- Be accountable of our organization’s applications: stability, high availability, performance, scalability and compliancy.
- Second level support of new deployed applications for investigation, trouble shooting and resolution of incidents and problems
Relevant Job Experience:
Qualification (School, university, equivalent, etc.)
- University degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Know How / Skills
- Ability to use and adapt a variety of open source technologies and tools (Openshift, Jenkins, Docker, Bird, CI/CD pipeline, Argos, Promothios)
- Ability to code and script (e.g. Shell, Ansible playbooks, python, perl)
- Experience with production level Applications management
- Good Experience on Linux Platform, Apache/Jboss knowledge
- Experience with systems, data stores and IT operations
- Experience in R&D or Global operations organization
- Experience Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management
- Git/Bit Bucket, AZURE work experience
- Understanding of basic network concepts (e.g. communication, 7-layer OSI, routing, firewalls, TCP/UDP, TCP handshake)
- Strong grasp of automation tools
- A strong focus on business outcomes
- Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders
Relevant Job Experience
- Over 6 years of experience working in the Software Engineering discipline or operation automation discipline
