This Department of War enterprise data and analytics program delivers mission-critical capabilities that enable leaders across the Department to make faster, better-informed decisions using trusted data at scale. Leidos Digital Modernization sector is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to support the delivery, enhancement, and adoption of enterprise data and analytics products used across multiple DoD organizations.
In this role, you will work alongside government partners, engineers, and other industry teammates to translate operational and strategic requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions. You will contribute directly to product planning, execution, and continuous improvement—helping ensure capabilities are delivered efficiently, aligned to mission priorities, and positioned for sustained success.

Primary Responsibilities:
Performs MLOPs and DevSecOps engineering operations to include Mission-Driven Design, Static Code Analysis, CI/CD Automation, Security Scanning, Model Scanning, Audit & Compliance, Secure and Post Deployment and Artifact Assurance
Builds and manages the underlying infrastructure, platforms, and tooling that support application, data, and AI workloads.
Designs resilient, scalable, and secure environments that optimize resource utilization and performance.
Streamlines developer workflows by implementing automation, integration pipelines, and platform services that accelerate delivery and maintain operational reliability.
Identify, prepare, track, secure, and integrate government, commercial and open-source tools and services into the CDAO System.
Build and foster relationships with industry and academia
Analyze and review the latest advances in commercial/open-source data, analytic, and AI technologies
Prepare, and integrate commercial and open-source tools into the CDAO System within a timely manner,
Assist vendor engineers in preparing and integrating tools to meet Industry, DoW, and CDAO standards.
Integrate government, commercial, and open-source software, data, and AI tools.
Basic Qualifications:
Advanced: Must either have a Bachelor degree or higher from an accredited college or university OR Valid certification of DoD 8140 (CASP+ or CCNP Security or CCSP)
Must have an active Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain SCI and CI Poly
12 + years of experience as an application developer.
Demonstrated experience with:
Architecting and designing software using MBSE approaches (Requirements specification, User Behavior models, Component Design, and requirements traceability)
Building and/or integrating Custom or COTS software products through MLOPS and DevSecOps automated tools within a cloud-based environment
Installing, configuring, and managing Data and/or AI related COTS enterprise SW platforms in support of capability builders who develop Data, AI, and SW capabilities
Engineering and operating data and AI platform tools (for example: DataBricks, Plantir, Collibra, Tableau) and performing at least 5 out of the following functions: Mission-Driven Design, Static Code Analysis, CI/CD Automation, Security Scanning, Model Scanning, Artifact Assurance, Secure and Post Deployment and Audit and Compliance.
Experience with Agile software development methodologies and working in a dynamic MLOPS/DevSecOps team
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
Proficiency utilizing Atlassian and open source tools such JIRA, Jenkins, Github and SonarCube
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience successfully developing, configuring, and / or managing capabilities within the CDAO ecosystem to meet Government requirements and mission needs
Experience performing all of the following functions: Mission-Driven Design, Static Code Analysis, CI/CD Automation, Security Scanning, Model Scanning, Artifact Assurance, Secure and Post Deployment and Audit and Compliance.
Experience with configuring and managing GitHub, Atlassian DevSecOps tools and automated CI/CD scripting
Hands on experience with Databricks or related Data & AI Engineering and Operation platforms
Understanding of end-to-end decision-making capabilities that are developed through Data & AI COTS SW platforms such as Databricks, Anthropic, Palantir, etc…
Proficiency utilizing Cameo to build architecture and design MBSE-based artifacts and products
Degree from an accredited Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems or Computer Engineering degree or a degree in a Mathematics or Engineering field.
