The purpose of this role is to own and evolve Endeavour Group’s secure Kubernetes (AKS) platform and CI/CD ecosystem, enabling product teams to ship products fast, safely, and cost-effectively. This role designs, automates, and operates the core platform (AKS, GitOps/Argo CD, Azure DevOps, IaC) with strong governance (Azure Landing Zones, Policy, RBAC, networking) and enables teams to adopt Kubernetes with best practices.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

• Support platform workstreams (Observe → Orientate → Design → Act).

• Build and run AKS clusters across environments; implement multi-tenancy, namespaces, network policies, and admission controls.

• Standardise app onboarding with Helm charts, Rancher catalogues and GitOps patterns (ArgoCD); advocate migration from legacy compute to AKS.

• Build and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines (multi-stage, PR gates, artefacts) and GitHub integrations as needed.

• Define and maintain Terraform/Bicep/Azure CLI modules for repeatable infra (ALZ, APIM, Firewall, networking, Key Vault, ACR).

• Embed Azure Policy, RBAC, and Azure Landing Zones guardrails; support APIM, ingress/egress patterns, Azure Firewall.

• Implement container supply chain controls (ACR, image scanning, Snyk) and network controls (Calico policy; Azure networking).

• Monitor and tune cost/perf/capacity; own incident response and platform SLOs; automate release and deployment management.

• Operate and evolve observability stack (Dynatrace, Grafana, logging) and backup/DR where applicable.

• Partner with product/dev, Infra/Network/Security to land platform patterns; write clear runbooks and reference templates.

• Support workstreams and drive platform adoption and quality through documentation/communication and quality automation.

• From time to time, you may be rostered to provide reasonable after-hours support for Priority 1 / Priority 2 production incidents and to attend prescheduled maintenance/upgrade windows. When rostered (or expressly requested due to service ownership), you agree to acknowledge within 30 minutes and commence remediation. Outside these circumstances there is no expectation that you monitor, read or respond to work communications outside your regular hours.

Now let’s talk about you: 

• 3–5 years in DevOps/Platform roles

• 1–3 years with Kubernetes.

• Docker/Containers / Git / CI/CD Pipelines

• Terraform / Bicep / Azure CLI

• Azure Cloud  / Azure Devops / Github

• Take ownership, communicate clearly, and document as you go. Share knowledge proactively, invite feedback, and are open to other ideas. Prefer automation over manual work.

Desirable

• GitOps experience, e.g. ArgoCD

• Rancher experience

• Google Cloud experience

• Azure EntraID

• Basic .NET experience/Programming background.

• Dyntrace

• Maintains their own technical blog site and contributes to open source projects/hackathons
