Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitation at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries -- AI & cloud compute, electric-car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. We have managed to produce the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and are now on a mission to put a diamond behind every chip. We are the rare unicorn that has grown fast and profitably. We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of tech manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy.

We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Plant Manager to lead our single-crystal diamond singulation operations in Zaragoza, Spain. We need a leader capable of optimizing production, ensuring the safety of our team, and guaranteeing plant profitability while maintaining the highest quality standards. You will hire a team of engineers, technicians, operators, line managers, and supporting staff to successfully operate this new foundry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day operations (Production, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, and Engineering) to ensure volume, cost, and quality targets are met. Present monthly KPIs to senior management and define the long-term strategy for plant capacity and modernization.
  • "Zero Accident" environment, ensuring strict compliance with all safety, health, and environmental Spanish regulations.
  • Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing methodologies to minimize waste and optimize OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the workforce (from shop floor to middle management), fostering a positive work environment and managing labor relations.
  • Manage the annual operations budget to maximize profitability and reduce operational costs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field with 7+ years of experience in industrial machinery, semiconductor equipment, or high-tech equipment assembly environments and 3+ years of people-management experience in production, assembly, or technical operations.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing processes and in business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operation, manufacturing process, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in working with a multinational team is highly desirable.
