Job Description
Develops and implements scalable data pipelines, transforms complex datasets into actionable insights, and creates data-driven solutions to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines for collecting, processing, and integrating data from various sources.
- Ensure that data is accurately and efficiently transferred and transformed between systems.
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable, data-driven recommendations.
- Use statistical, machine learning, or deep learning techniques to analyze and model data, identify trends, patterns, and relationships, and provide applicable solutions.
- Develop predictive models using machine learning algorithms to forecast trends and future outcomes. Then, deploy these models and systems, and monitor and maintain them to ensure they are working effectively.
- Document data workflows, processes, and technical specifications.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve data engineering practices.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are beneficial.
PREFERRED:
- Previous experience in data engineering, data analytics, or a related field, often with a proven track record of building and managing data pipelines.
- Expertise in data analysis and management using tools such as SAS (Statistical Analysis System) and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Proficient in programming languages such as SQL, Python, Java, and R for data manipulation, cleaning, and analysis, as well as in data visualization tools like Spotfire, Tableau, and Power BI. Also familiar with Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service) by AWS.
- Knowledge of AI/ML lifecycle management and tools, including exploratory data analysis (EDA), modeling, integration and deployment, data and model drift detection, and model retraining.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Team player with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
