Position Title: Personnel Specialist
Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Clearance required: SECRET
Scope: Provide administrative, workflow management, and clerical support to ensure seamless day-to-day site operations, accurate technical reporting, and efficient resource coordination across all mission pillars.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Draft, format, and route technical reports, official correspondence, and contractual deliverables (CDRLs) in accordance with the Department of the Navy Correspondence Manual.
- Maintain and audit centralized digital and physical filing systems, ensuring version control and secure handling of sensitive data.
- Process Visit Authorization Requests (VARs) utilizing the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or follow-on systems.
- Manage visitor control, coordinate contractor onboarding/offboarding procedures, and maintain up-to-date site access rosters.
- Use SOPs and applications identified in the CPPA Toolbox to provide Sailor Pay and Personnel Support.
- Maintain familiarization with PAYPERS policy references. Use resources provided on the MNCC “CPPA Resources” web pages.
- Carefully review documents and information as they are routed between the Sailor and supporting TSC or RSC to ensure forms are properly completed, required documentation and attachments are provided, and information appears to be sufficient to resolve the transaction in a timely manner.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of collective experience within the last 10 years performing the Pay, Personnel Specialist and administrative functions in support of the U.S. Navy or other DoD agency equivalent.
- Experience working Navy Correspondence and administrative reports, to include performance reports.
