GPS Delivery supports a variety of customers, including Retail, Workplace and Institutional investors in the wholesale, direct investing and advised channels.Our team of colleagues are split across many locations worldwide, and we all strive to ensure our customers get the best possible service. 

About your role
GPS technology stack and engineering ecosystem needs to evolve at a fast pace to cater to strategic technology drivers and to meet end customer experience demands. There is need for a seasoned technologist leader who can lead / drive this space with dedicated energy, passion and inspiration. The person in the role will be expected to define appropriate test strategies including various aspects of automation testing for the respective programs/projects, co-own the test plan. The person is expected have strong understanding and experience of agile delivery and testing practices, to drive high levels of automation and efficiencies, drive adoption of toolsets in line with the organizational direction and connect to the wider delivery and testing community within the organization to share best practices. The person is expected to have a high degree of connect with the external environment to sense market trends on related technologies and practices and help bring innovation and provide thought leadership to the overall department and the wider organization. The key outcomes shall be (but not limited to) to create a culture of automation keeping DevOps principle of speed and quality in mind.
Candidate would be expected to have exposure to Cloud concepts with respect to testing. The role shall ensure that other tech experts are well guided/mentored, and the work gets delivered as per tech strategy and guidelines. The role is also expected to lead portfolio level initiatives driving efficiency and thought leadership from QA perspective.

About you

  • Extensive hands-on experience in designing and developing test automation frameworks from the ground up.
  • Proficient in leading functional automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright.
  • Strong technical capability in Core Java and J2EE development.
  • Proven experience in creating robust service-layer/API automation frameworks.
  • Well‑versed in key development tools and frameworks including Maven, Checkstyle, JUnit, Jenkins, and Git.
  • Solid background in working with Oracle databases (preferably Oracle 10G) and writing complex SQL queries.
  • Skilled in source code management, particularly with Git/GitHub.
  • Strong engineering foundation with significant exposure to CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and deployment automation tools.
  • Hands-on experience in unit and component testing, including the use of mocking frameworks.
  • Excellent understanding of database concepts and advanced query design.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, especially AWS and Kubernetes (K8s).
  • Good understanding of modern development practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and the Test Pyramid.
  • Exposure to AI enabled development, testing, analytics or delivery tools, with the ability to drive adoption rather than deep technical expertise.
  • Ability to understand and interpret business principles in alignment with program goals.
  • Demonstrated capability to coach, guide, and mentor team members effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder management and clear, professional communication skills.
