Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Peripheral Systems Manager to lead the technical delivery and integration of enterprise-scale SAP Commerce initiatives across a complex multi-system landscape. This role will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of SAP Commerce projects, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring scalable, high-quality solutions across integrated platforms including ERP, CRM, BI, and eCommerce systems.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in software development, enterprise integrations, and eCommerce technologies, combined with proven experience managing large-scale projects, distributed teams, and complex stakeholder environments. This is a strategic leadership role focused on ensuring successful project execution, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across our digital commerce ecosystem.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   

  • Be responsible for managing the technical aspects of our SAP Commerce projects. 

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all deliverables meet our quality standards.  

  • Oversee the development and implementation of technical solutions, manage project timelines and budgets, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. 

  • Manage technical integration aspects of SAP Commerce projects, including software design, development, and deployment 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, project managers, and business analysts to ensure timely and accurate delivery of quality products 

  • Define project requirements, timelines, and budgets, and manage project scope and risks 

  • Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, and other project-related documentation 

  • Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and manage project changes 

  • Ensure that all technical solutions are scalable, maintainable, and meet or exceed quality standards 

  • Identify the potential risk to the project and provide mitigation plan. 

  • Work with stakeholders to define and prioritize project goals, and effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to executive leadership 

 

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:   

 

Required to have at least 10 years’ experience in software development and e-Commerce systems in various capacities. 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 

  • 7+ years of experience in leading software development projects with at least 3 years of experience in e-Commerce projects 

  • Experience of managing integration across mutli-system environment such as ERP, CRM and BI. with leading providers like SAP, Microsoft, Salesforce

  • Strong technical background in e-Commerce platform, e-commerce solutions, and related technologies such as Java and Spring

  • Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and geographically spread resources 

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and project management tools like Jira, Confluence, MSP 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Expertise in managing complex distributed, microservice based technology landscape and dev environment.  

  • PMP or other project management certifications are a plus

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:   

 

Typically, 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 3 or more years of management experience. 

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION:   

 

Typically, a bachelor's degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus. 

 

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

 

Travel 30-40%. Office environment. No special physical demands required. 

 

SCOPE:   

 

Typically manage two or more complex sections of a department, a more complex department, large and complex process or multiple large processes. Focus on executing goals in accordance with the policies and directives of senior management. Fully accountable for meeting the operating objectives of the department. Establish key operational objectives and work plans and delegate assignments to staff. May develop proposed budgets for approval and manage budget once approved. Operate with substantial latitude for independent action or decision. May play a role in high-level projects that have an impact on the function's future direction.  

 

COMPLEXITY:   

 

Increased breadth of responsibility and overall accountability (e.g., strategy, finance, negotiation, communication, etc.). Working on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives, including an understanding of current business trends. Act as advisor/coach to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve problems. Full knowledge of multiple areas within sub-function derived from experience in non-management and manager level role(s). Focus on executing goals in an accurate and timely manner. 

 

STRATEGY: 

 

Translate and implement the strategy to further the sub-function's larger goals through the work of more senior professional staff. Create new, or recommends changes to policies and establish procedures that affect the sub-function 

 

SUPERVISION:   

 

Manage work and goals of professional level staff performing non-routine work or who manage a more complex process or system. May have subordinate supervisors. 

 

INTERACTION:   

 

Regularly interact with senior management, executive levels and/or customers on matters concerning several functional areas and/or other company divisions or units. Ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship. 

 

MANAGEMENT DUTIES:   

 

Typically, can hire, terminate, or promote and may be aware of higher-level functional issues and concerns; another level of approval may be required. Makes decisions on salary increases, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, etc.
