Performance Marketing – Amplify
Own paid growth for Amplify—from channel strategy and creative testing to media budgets, agency execution and acquisition economics.
Function
Growth / Marketing
Employment
Full-time
About Amplify
Amplify is a consumer-focused digital proposition designed to help people better understand credit, build financial awareness and make more informed financial decisions. As Amplify scales, performance marketing will be a critical growth engine—bringing the right users into the app efficiently, testing what drives engagement and building a repeatable acquisition model.
Role purpose
The Performance Marketing lead will own Amplify’s paid acquisition agenda end to end. This person will identify the right channels and audiences, translate growth objectives into campaign plans, manage agencies and media partners, shape performance-oriented content and creative, control and optimise marketing budgets, and build a strong measurement discipline around user acquisition and conversion.
What you will own
· Paid acquisition strategy: Develop the paid-growth strategy across relevant channels such as Google, Meta, YouTube, app-install campaigns and other digital channels; determine the appropriate channel mix by audience, objective and stage of the funnel.
· Campaign planning & execution: Translate business and growth goals into campaign calendars, media plans, audience strategies, test plans and execution briefs; ensure campaigns are launched accurately and on time.
· Media budget ownership: Build monthly/quarterly spend plans, allocate budgets across channels and campaigns, monitor pacing, forecast outcomes and recommend reallocation based on performance and marginal returns.
· Agency & partner management: Act as the day-to-day owner for performance marketing agencies, media partners and specialised vendors; set briefs, review plans, challenge recommendations, track delivery and hold partners accountable for results.
· Performance content & creative: Work with internal teams and agencies to create ad concepts, copy, videos, statics, landing-page/app-store messaging and campaign assets designed for acquisition. Build a structured creative-testing cadence rather than relying on one-off campaigns.
· Audience & funnel optimisation: Define audience segments, targeting strategies and remarketing approaches; identify drop-offs from impression to install/sign-up/activation and work with product and content teams to improve conversion.
· Measurement & attribution: Create a clear measurement framework for channel and campaign performance. Track acquisition, conversion and downstream quality using relevant analytics/attribution tools and ensure decisions are based on reliable data.
· Experimentation: Continuously test channels, audiences, bids, creatives, offers, landing experiences and campaign formats; document learnings and scale what works.
· Growth reporting: Own weekly and monthly performance reporting for stakeholders, including spend, acquisition, conversion, efficiency, trends, learnings, risks and the next set of actions.
· Compliance & brand guardrails: Ensure paid communication is accurate, customer-friendly and aligned with applicable brand, legal, privacy and financial-services communication requirements before launch.
Key success measures
· Paid user acquisition volume against plan and within approved budgets.
· Cost efficiency across the funnel: User acquisition metrics appropriate to the campaign objective.
· Conversion from click/install to registration to paid subscription, key onboarding milestones and meaningful in-app activation.
· Quality of acquired users, including engagement/retention indicators where sufficient data is available.
· Budget pacing, forecast accuracy and disciplined reallocation of spend toward better-performing campaigns.
· Creative testing velocity and measurable improvement from winning creatives/audiences/landing experiences.
· Channel-level return measures such as ROAS or LTV:CAC where the business model and data maturity support them.
· Agency delivery quality, turnaround time, reporting accuracy and adherence to agreed performance targets.
Experience & background
· Approximately 5–9 years of experience in performance marketing, growth marketing or digital acquisition, with meaningful hands-on ownership of paid media budgets.
· Experience managing campaigns across major digital advertising platforms; mobile-app acquisition experience is strongly preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to manage agencies while still being close enough to the numbers to independently assess campaign quality and performance.
· Strong understanding of acquisition funnels, audience segmentation, media buying, conversion optimisation and creative testing.
· Comfort with campaign analytics, dashboards and attribution concepts. Exposure to tools such as GA4/Firebase
· Experience in a consumer-tech, fintech, financial-services, payments, lending, insurance, e-commerce or subscription-led business is preferred, but strong D2C growth experience from other sectors is also relevant.
· Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant post-graduate qualification is useful but not essential.
