People Operations is the backbone of everything we do in People — and this role sits at the heart of it. You'll help create a seamless employee experience from day one, ensuring our processes are accurate, compliant, and built to scale. As an expert on Swiss employment law, you'll bring clarity and confidence to complex topics while helping employees, managers, and People Partners navigate every stage of the employee lifecycle.
This is a part time (60-80%) role, for an 8-month fixed term contract with an ideal start date in September or October 2026.
Your responsibilities
You'll support the full employee lifecycle administration for our Swiss entity, including contracts, employee changes, offboarding, and leave management, ensuring every step is compliant, accurate, and handled with care.
You'll own People Operations for our French entity in close collaboration with our local payroll provider, ensuring compliance, contracts, and day-to-day administration run smoothly.
You'll serve as a go-to expert on Swiss labor law, providing guidance on employment contracts, termination procedures, parental leave, and everything in between.
You'll manage communication with tax authorities, immigration offices, and other Swiss government institutions in German.
You'll maintain and continuously improve our HRIS, Personio, keeping data accurate, workflows efficient, and automations meaningful.
You'll respond to employee questions related to contracts, benefits, and HR policies with clarity, empathy, and responsiveness.
You'll manage complex initiatives end-to-end, navigating ambiguity, aligning stakeholders across People, Finance, and Legal, and driving outcomes from initial discussion to completion.
You'll contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve ways of working, and explore how new technologies, including AI, can help reduce manual work and increase efficiency.
Your story
- You’re comfortable working in a hybrid format, with the ability to come to our St. Gallen office once per week.
You have 4+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Administration, or a similar role, ideally within a scaling technology company or international environment.
You bring deep, hands-on knowledge of Swiss labor law.
You speak English fluently and are business fluent in German. French is a plus.
You have experience working with an HRIS, and strong knowledge of Personio is a significant advantage.
You're naturally curious about AI and enjoy exploring new tools, sharing what you learn, and helping others discover new ways of working.
You have a track record of owning and improving processes end-to-end, not simply maintaining them.
You're precise, proactive, and self-directed, with a strong attention to detail and a drive to solve problems before they become bigger issues.
You communicate clearly and build trust easily with employees, People Partners, and leaders alike.
