We have a great new opportunity for a Pension Administrator to join our Pensions Administration team. This is a full time, permanent role that is based in our Birmingham office working on a hybrid basis.

A snapshot of your day:
- Preparing, reviewing and checking complex benefit calculations and member correspondence
- Interpreting scheme rules, amendments and technical documentation with confidence
- Managing more technical member cases and non‑standard queries
- Supporting and guiding less experienced administrators where appropriate
- Ensuring member records are accurate and compliant with scheme and legislative requirements
- Working to agreed service levels while maintaining high quality standards
- Identifying process improvements and contributing to best practice within the team
- Supporting and maintaining Information Security procedures in line with Barnett Waddingham policy
- Assisting with project work and ad hoc tasks as required
We would love to hear from you if you have:
Minimum of GCSE Grade “5” or “C” in Maths and English are essential. Certificate in Pension Calculations (CPC) or progress with other relevant PMI qualifications would be an advantage. A willingness to make progress towards a professional qualification would be a benefit; however proven experience in the role is more desirable than other academic achievement
- Proven success in a Pension Administrator role, with exposure to more complex work
- Relevant pension administration qualifications, or active progress towards them
- Clear signs of development and progression in your career to date
- Strong technical understanding of DB pension schemes and related processes
A strong understanding of Microsoft Office programmes, in particular Excel, Word and Outlook
An ability to build strong effective client and team working relationships
