Description
As a Payroll Specialist at Island Hospitality Management, you will be responsible for processing full cycle payroll for properties throughout Island’s property portfolio.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Process payroll for employees in the organization
- Maintain personnel database regarding salaries
- Report to department supervisor regarding daily activities and issues
- Work directly with clients to achieve organizational goals as required
- Work with company database programs to process payroll
- Prepare reports to relevant departments about payroll, company budgets, and expenses
- Enter payroll maintenance information for properties
- Enter new hires, employee changes, and process terminations into the payroll system
- Review payroll batches and registers
- Process garnishments and other payroll-related deductions
- Address and resolve any payroll issues from employees and supervisors
- Distributing and mailing checks
- Any other duties assigned by Supervisor
Job Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment required
- Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws
- Previous experience with Paylocity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications
- Exceptional multitasking and organization skills
- Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
