Your Impact
Payroll Processing
· Oversee comprehensive payroll processing from start to finish, ensuring precision and adherence to applicable laws and company policies.
· Review and reconcile payroll reports to detect and rectify discrepancies or errors.
· Ensure proper documentation and compliance with organizational policies.
· Remain informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and changes in payroll regulations to maintain compliance with state and federal laws.
· Manage the payroll email inbox efficiently.
· Assist with year-end payroll activities, including the preparation and distribution of necessary employee and employer tax documents.
· Address time and attendance issues, including timecard errors, reviews, and approvals. Request adjustments to timecard pay classifications.
Analysis and Special Projects
· Conduct annual audits, including 401k and Workers Compensation.
· Generate and analyze detailed payroll reports for management, including the creation of custom reports in ADP.
· Identify and implement process improvements in payroll operations, focusing on automation and standardization to enhance efficiency.
· Collaborate with the Payroll Operations team during the analysis of payroll data from acquired companies.
· Undertake special projects as assigned.
Collaboration and Communication
· Collaborate with PX, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless information flow and coordination of payroll-related activities.
· Deliver exceptional customer service while addressing employee inquiries.
· Assist in resolving complex payroll issues and queries.
· Attend relevant workshops, webinars, and conferences to further enhance professional knowledge.
· Provide mentorship to junior payroll staff as needed, ensuring they are well-versed in payroll processes and systems.
Your Experience:
- B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- 6+ years of experience in multi-state payroll, demonstrating a robust understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
- Experience with Global Payroll is a plus.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is preferred.
- Proficiency in payroll software systems, particularly ADP Workforce Now.
- Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and critical thinking skills.
- Advanced understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- High level of integrity and discretion when managing confidential information.
