The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees in India in compliance with statutory regulations and company policies. The role involves payroll data validation, reconciliation, vendor coordination, statutory compliance, audits, reporting, and providing payroll support to employees and HR teams.What You'll Bring:
Key Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end monthly payroll for India employees with 100% accuracy and adherence to timelines.
- Validate payroll inputs such as new hires, exits, salary revisions, attendance, variable pay, bonuses, overtime, reimbursements, and deductions.
- Perform pre-payroll and post-payroll audit checks to ensure data accuracy.
- Coordinate with internal teams (HR, Finance, HR Operations) to gather necessary payroll data.
- Ensure payroll compliance with India statutory requirements including PF, ESIC, LWF, PT, Income Tax (TDS), Gratuity, and other local regulations.
- Prepare and file statutory returns through relevant portals (EPFO, ESIC, State PT, Income Tax).
- Maintain accurate records for audits such as internal audit, statutory audit, and external compliance checks.
- Support year-end activities including Form 16, investment declaration verification, and annual tax statements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries.
- Resolve employee queries regarding salary, tax, deductions, reimbursements, and payslips.
- Ensure high standards of confidentiality and data privacy.
- Coordinate with external payroll vendors to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Support HRIS/payroll system updates, testing, and enhancements.
