Involved in all dredging and offshore projects worldwide, the survey department is responsible for the organisation of all hydrographic and topographic measurements in all phases of the works. For our offshore fall pipe vessels, we are looking for a party chief that will be responsible for all survey activities on board. Are you able to lead the team of surveyors?Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the survey operations (preparation, mobilisation and execution) and ensure they are carried out in accordance with the method statement and in a safe way

You lead the offshore project team on board, optimising productivity and efficiency

You communicate clearly with key project stakeholders: Project Management, Client representatives, Vessel master and crew

You accurately monitor the progress and the quality of the works

You ensure project deliverables are produced on time and up to the highest quality standards

You report about budget and cost control in close collaboration with the project manager.
Your profile

You hold a diploma related to hydrographic surveying, geophysics, geology, engineering or equivalent by experience

You have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as party chief in the offshore industry

You are familiar with marine survey techniques, and software
-
You have a good practical sense and ability to do the job in challenging and remote conditions

You have good communication skills and able to take a critical view towards the works to be carried out

You are fluent in verbal and written English. Knowledge of any other language is an asset

You have an excellent attention to detail, quality and safety

You are willing to work on board of one of our vessel for a longer period of time (rotational schedule of 1:1)
