Role Type: Full-time

Salary:  $40,000 - $55,000 per year + annual performance-based bonus

Actual compensation offered will be determined individually, based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, licensure, experience, and education.

Summary:

The Paraplanner supports Financial Advisors by preparing financial plans, conducting planning and investment analysis, and coordinating implementation activities. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional client experience by ensuring accurate financial data, well-prepared planning recommendations, and timely follow-up on client needs. The Paraplanner works closely with advisors and operations staff to support the financial planning process from data gathering through implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, organize, and maintain client financial information and documentation.

  • Prepare retirement, insurance, education, estate, and cash flow analyses using financial planning software.

  • Assist in the development of comprehensive financial plans and investment recommendations for advisor review.

  • Prepare financial planning reports, presentations, and meeting materials.

  • Analyze client information and identify planning opportunities, data gaps, and items requiring advisor review.

  • Conduct research on planning strategies, investment products, retirement planning solutions, and risk management concepts.

  • Support implementation of approved planning recommendations and monitor completion of action items.

  • Prepare account summaries, portfolio reviews, and financial planning updates for client meetings.

  • Attend client meetings as needed and document follow-up items.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with firm policies and compliance requirements.

  • Collaborate with advisors, operations personnel, and external providers to help ensure a seamless client experience.

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant practical experience will be considered in lieu of degree.  Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.  

 Basic Requirements: 

  • 2+ years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, banking, accounting, or financial services.

  • Knowledge of financial planning concepts, investment products, retirement planning, and wealth management strategies.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience with financial planning software, with eMoney experience preferred.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering an outstanding client experience.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
