We’re looking for a Paralegal to join us in Bradford on a 6 month fixed term contract.
This is hybrid working – 2 days in the office, 3 days remote.
Liberty Blume's Legal Operations Team is continuing to grow, and we are seeking a Paralegal to join us during an exciting period of expansion. The role will involve handling a diverse portfolio of Defendant claims across Employers’ Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL), Road Traffic Accidents (RTA), and Utility and Property Damage matters. Working alongside qualified solicitors and under the guidance of a Team Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge, gain valuable litigation experience (under supervision), and play a key role in delivering excellent outcomes for our clients.
In this Paralegal role, you will be responsible for running your own portfolio of matters using a case management system, with access to some of the latest technology to support your day-to-day work. You will also support a range of administrative functions such as setting up new cases, processing initial notification letters and payments, while providing insight into process improvements, including opportunities for automation and AI.
There has never been a better time to join Liberty Blume. We’re a dynamic, high-growth and tech-led group of businesses, where you would be ideally suited as a law graduate with some claims handling experience or proven experience in a comparable role, and the desire to develop your career with a global market leader.
What will you be doing?
• Manage a varied caseload of pre-litigation claims, ensuring matters are progressed efficiently, accurately and within agreed service levels and deadlines.
• Effectively prioritise and manage a high-volume workload, ensuring work is completed to a consistently high standard.
• Conduct investigations, review and assess claim prospects, and undertake legal and factual research using a range of internal and external resources.
• Maintain accurate case records on our case management system, and monitor key dates, milestones, and actions throughout the claims lifecycle.
• Draft clear, accurate, and professional correspondence and other documentation in line with departmental standards and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and established processes.
• Liaise professionally with clients, stakeholders, third parties, and external organisations to obtain information and progress claims to resolution.
• Support solicitors and other legal professionals with litigated matters under supervision, gaining practical experience in legal case management and dispute resolution.
• Assist with the development, testing, and continuous improvement of systems, processes, and automation solutions to enhance efficiency and service delivery across Legal Operations.
• Contribute to departmental projects, initiatives, and cross-functional activities that improve operational performance, customer outcomes, and the overall effectiveness of Legal Operations.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across Legal Operations and the wider business to support the efficient handling and resolution of claims.
