Job Description:

Join our UK team as a Senior Paralegal (FTC)

At Pluxee, we shape the world of employee benefits and engagement by bringing to life a personalised and sustainable employee experience, at work and beyond.

Be our next Senior Paralegal (FTC)
We are seeking a commercially minded Senior Paralegal to support the business with drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts and with day-to-day legal, compliance and data protection matters.

Working closely with the Head of Legal and stakeholders across the business, you will manage routine matters with a good degree of independence, provide clear and practical support, and help deliver commercial objectives while protecting the business from legal and regulatory risk. You will be expected to recognise and promptly escalate higher-risk, complex or non-standard matters.

This is a broad, hands-on role within a lean legal function and offers direct exposure to commercial decision-making, legal risk management, compliance and data protection. It would suit an experienced paralegal or equivalent legal professional who wants to deepen their in-house experience and take meaningful ownership of their workload.

What you’ll do

As a Senior Paralegal at Pluxee your key responsibilities will include:

Commercial contracts

  • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including customer and supplier agreements, NDAs, data processing agreements, marketing and technology agreements, partnership agreements and standard terms and conditions.
  • Manage a varied portfolio of contracts, including more complex agreements, independently within agreed parameters and with guidance from the Head of Legal where required.
  • Identify key legal and commercial risks, propose practical solutions and ensure non-standard, material or high-risk issues are escalated promptly.
  • Support timely completion of contracts by coordinating stakeholder input, approvals, signature and any required follow-up actions.

Legal advice and stakeholder support

  • Provide clear, practical and commercially focused legal input on contract-related queries, explaining key risks, available options and matters requiring business approval.
  • Support teams including Sales, Commercial, Marketing, IT, Finance, HR and Operations with contract negotiations, contractual interpretation and day-to-day legal queries.

Compliance

  • Support the Head of Legal with the operation and continuous improvement of the compliance programme.
  • Maintain policies, registers, compliance records, trackers and evidence of completed actions.
  • Coordinate compliance risk assessments, due diligence, training, attestations and responses from relevant business teams.
  • Support internal reviews, audits and investigations as directed by the Head of Legal.

Data protection

  • Maintain privacy records and support data protection impact assessments, data subject requests, incidents and other data protection processes.

Legal operations and contract management

  • Maintain and improve contract templates, playbooks, guidance and legal processes.
  • Support contract lifecycle management by maintaining accurate contract records, monitoring key dates and obligations, tracking renewals and termination rights, obtaining approvals and ensuring executed agreements are stored appropriately.
  • Maintain legal trackers, support workload prioritisation and produce clear status reporting and management information.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve the way legal and compliance support is delivered.

Who we’re looking for

Pluxee is an inclusive team with a shared passion for employee experience. You’ll be the ideal match for this role if you have:

Essential experience and knowledge

  • Substantial experience supporting commercial legal matters at senior paralegal or equivalent level, with a sound understanding of contract law and commercial contracting principles.
  • Demonstrable experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating customer, supplier and other commercial agreements.
  • Experience working in-house or in a fast-paced commercial legal or contracts environment.
  • Experience supporting compliance and data protection activities, such as maintaining policies and registers, completing due diligence, reviewing data protection provisions, supporting risk assessments or managing compliance actions.
  • Ability to identify and explain legal and commercial risk, work independently on routine matters and exercise sound judgement about when to escalate.

Skills and behaviours

  • Strong drafting, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain legal issues clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Commercially minded, pragmatic and solutions-focused, while maintaining appropriate legal and compliance standards.
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise a varied workload, manage competing deadlines and follow matters through to completion.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
  • Proactive, collaborative and comfortable working in a hands-on role within a lean legal function.
  • Confident building constructive relationships and constructively challenging stakeholders where required.

Desirable

  • A law degree, CILEx qualification, paralegal qualification or equivalent legal training is desirable. Relevant practical experience will be considered in place of a formal legal qualification.
  • Experience in the B2B services/technology sector is desirable but not essential.
