Purpose of Position:  To work with a team to package high-quality furnishings while helping achieve company goals and KPIs.

Position Overview:  Prestwick Packagers are responsible for packaging our products for shipment. They must ensure that the items are packaged in a way that is efficient, safe, timely, and focused on quality. The Packagers must also update the Shipping Clerk or Production Manager regarding any issues or needs that may arise during the process. The following are some of the key expectations and responsibilities associated with this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviews provided information and prints. Pulls correct units and packages products according to requirements, using the necessary and established steps.
• Maintains the work area by organizing and storing tools, supplies, and materials in designated locations.
• Communicate with leadership and other team members regarding problems, concerns, status, and improvement ideas.
• Seeks to improve job knowledge.
• Follows all safety requirements, work rules, and company policies.
• Assists in all other operations departments as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Can read a tape measure.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to operate drills and drivers.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Often required to reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to complete repetitive tasks.
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
• Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
