Job Description
Atlas Systems is seeking a Senior Java Developer with current, hands-on Spring
Boot experience. This person will work full-time on a staA augmentation basis, reporting to
the Senior Software Architect. The technical stack below outlines the expected skills.
Technical Stack
Platform: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform
Backend: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring REST, Swagger, Postman
Database: Relational databases, SQL, transactions
Unit Testing: JUnit 5, REST Assured
QA: Manual UI testing, automated backend testing
UI: React, TypeScript
Observability: Datadog
Schedule
Project dates: November 1, 2026 – March 1, 2027
All team members are expected to be available during U.S. working hours for daily stand-up
meetings, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, escalations, production deployments,
and other Agile ceremonies.
Outside these commitments, team members may work during their local business hours,
with daily code check-ins and reviews.
The team will follow a weekly sprint cadence.
Skills Required
- 8+ years of software development and delivery experience
- Current, hands-on experience with Spring Boot
- Hands-on Java development experience
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform
- Experience with Spring Data, Spring REST, Swagger, and Postman
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, and transactions
- Experience with JUnit 5 and REST Assured
- Experience with React and TypeScript
- Availability during U.S. working hours for Agile ceremonies and production activities
