Order Taker (In Villa Dinning)

• To ensure that all operating standards are well understood in order to achieve the level of service established in the Departmental Operations Manual.
• To answer the phone within 3 rings and follow phone etiquette according to hotel standards.
• To explain, recommend, and offer any food and beverage items based on the meal period.
• To take all food and beverage orders according to the standards set out.
• To repeat the order at all times to ensure accuracy.
• To provide a high standard of quality and follow-up to ensure proper delivery on time as well as speedy service.
• To assist in mise-en-place and perform side duties during down time.
• To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items on the menu.
• To have knowledge of all the Daily Specials.
• To have a thorough understanding of billing and cashiering procedures.

• Minimum 1 year experience in Room Dining, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine dining setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possess a strong sense of urgency
• Displays a pleasant and cheerful disposition
• Maintain a high level of integrity
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Adapts in difficult situations, problem solves and makes decisions when necessary
• Shows eagerness and capacity to learn
• Command of the English language, both verbal and written.
