We are seeking an experienced Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA) Developer to support ongoing business operations, system enhancements, and production support activities within the OIPA platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing business requirements, resolving production issues, optimizing system performance, supporting deployment activities, and ensuring the stability and reliability of the application. The role requires close collaboration with business users, analysts, and technical teams to deliver effective and scalable solutions that support business objectivesKey Responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new features, enhancements, and functionalities within the OIPA platform.
  • Configure and customize OIPA components to support evolving business and operational requirements.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production defects and system issues within agreed service levels.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Provide ongoing application support, maintenance, and monitoring to ensure system stability and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with business users, business analysts, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
  • Participate in solution design discussions, technical reviews, and development planning activities.
  • Develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code in accordance with development standards and best practices.
  • Optimize system configurations and application performance to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Support system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployment activities.
  • Assist with system upgrades, patch management, release coordination, and deployment processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, automation efforts, and application modernization activities.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong experience supporting Oracle application platforms, preferably Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA).
  • Proficiency in Java development with hands-on experience in application enhancements and integrations.
  • Strong SQL skills, including query writing, troubleshooting, data validation, and performance optimization.
  • Experience configuring business features and customizing systems to meet business requirements.
  • Experience supporting application deployments, system upgrades, patch management, and release coordination.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve production issues using tools such as Jira and ServiceNow.
  • Experience working within Agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices, deployment automation, and release management.
  • Experience with OIPA Rules Palette for business rule configuration and customization is an added advantage.
  • Experience with Oracle system XML configuration, including transactions, business rules, and screen setup, is an added advantage.
  • Relevant certifications in Oracle technologies, Java development, cloud platforms, or Agile methodologies will be an added advantage.
