Testing Assurance Lead

Role Overview

Invent Consulting Limited is seeking a highly experienced Testing Assurance Lead to provide independent quality assurance across all testing phases of the programme. This role will independently assess the adequacy, completeness, and integrity of testing activities across SIT, UAT, performance, regression, and disaster recovery cycles, ensuring readiness for go-live and post-implementation stability. The successful candidate will work closely with programme leadership, technology teams, and vendors to ensure testing governance, defect management, and environment readiness meet banking and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

·       Provide independent assurance across SIT, UAT, regression, performance, and DR testing cycles.

·       Validate overall testing strategy, test plans, coverage matrices, and readiness criteria.

·       Assess test environment parity and readiness across DEV, SIT, UAT, PRE-PROD, and PROD.

·       Review test data strategy, including sufficiency and migration-based scenarios.

·       Evaluate defect management processes, root-cause analysis, and closure quality.

·       Assess defect leakage and testing effectiveness across phases.

·       Validate migration-related test scenarios and end-to-end business process testing.

·       Provide independent phase-exit readiness assessments and recommendations.

·       Engage with ICT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to drive testing discipline and quality outcomes.

·       Produce structured assurance reports and risk assessments for programme leadership.

Required Experience

·       Minimum 7+ years in software testing/QA within banking or financial services.

·       Proven experience in core banking system testing (e.g., T24, Flexcube, Finacle, or similar).

·       Strong knowledge of:

o   SIT, UAT, regression, performance, and DR testing

o   Test governance and QA frameworks

o   Defect analytics and root-cause analysis

o   Environment management and parity validation

·       Experience in large system migration or transformation programmes.

·       ISTQB or equivalent certification preferred.
