The Strategic Sourcing Director is responsible for enterprise category sourcing strategy, spend analysis, contract review/negotiation and supplier on-boarding for assigned functional areas and lines of business. This role will partner with the IT business as a trusted advisor to help determine make/buy decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead contract efforts from evaluation, through signing, vendor transition and operational state
  • Oversee development of sourcing strategies to identify vendors that meet the organization's quality, cost, or service requirements
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements and ensure compliance with internal or external purchasing requirements
  • Identify trends in organizational purchasing and identify opportunities for cost reduction through purchase consolidation
  • Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external suppliers, maintaining relationships and ensuring satisfaction
  • Deliver a consistent, high level of service within our EWA standards


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • CPSM or SRM Certification
  • At least 7 years of strategic sourcing, vendor management, and/or software/cloud sales experience
  • Ability to cultivate strong working relationships with both internal and external contacts
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, energetic individual with a strong degree of intellectual curiosity
  • Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background


Salary Band: 07B

As a condition of employment, OneAmerica requires that all new hires who receive a job offer on or after April 18, 2022 provide evidence of full or partial vaccination against COVID-19 within three days of accepting an offer letter with OneAmerica and before employment begins. If applicable, new hires must submit proof that they have received the second dose of a two dose COVID-19 vaccine within 30 days after their first dose is complete. This selected candidate will be expected to work remote.
