Job Summary

The Senior Director, Retail Banking Operations oversees the expansion and maintenance of the Bank’s retail deposit products and operations. This role provides leadership and guidance to an operational staff, advises and consults the Consumer Deposit Steering Committee (“SteerCo”) on matters related to product configuration and competitive design, develops product roadmap recommendations for the SteerCo’s approval, and creates operational infrastructure to effectively execute against directives received from the SteerCo. This role works collaboratively with Treasury, Marketing, Finance and Technology, along with software technology partners, to ensure that the objectives and vision of the Bank’s senior leadership team is met and that operational support is maintained in a manner consistent with the bank's customer-centric service delivery model.

Job Description

Essential Functions

Leadership – Actively engages others and works collaboratively with all departments across the Bread Financial organization. Manages multiple priorities effectively with a strong commitment to achieving the goals of the Bank and the entire organization. Exhibits the ability to be a quick learner and self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing and prioritizing work for self and team

Strategic Plan Development and Management – Oversee the ongoing development of the Bank's website for retail deposits.

Documentation – Develop and maintain all policies, procedures, and risk management frameworks related to ensure the infrastructure for deposit operations, call center operations, back office support, and fraud management are sound and in compliance with all Bank policies, risk appetites and banking regulations.

Operations – Ensure both internal and outsourced servicing operations are conducted in compliance with Bank policies, service level agreements and regulations. Resolve escalated customer service issues; hire, train and manage the retail banking operations team. Work with senior management on optimal pricing and marketing strategies to meet funding level targets. Analyze and project on-going staffing needs based on forecasted growth levels. Develop and implement deposit retention pricing and marketing strategies to minimize attrition. Ongoing vendor relationship management with various service providers.

Product Development – Work with senior management in developing various deposit products, pricing and marketing strategies and the various timelines to launch each product over a multi-phase project.

Communication - Demonstrate outstanding Verbal and Written Communication skills when working with internal and external partners. Utilizes knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams to execute daily work.

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements: Normal office environment, some travel may be required.

Direct Reports: Six or more

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree Required: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

Area of Study: business, finance, or business-related field of study

Years of Work Experience Required: Ten or more

Type / focus of work experience required: banking operations with five or more years managing online bank operations

Preferred Experience:

Degree Preferred: Masters Degree

Area of Study: Business, Finance

Years of Work Experience Preferred: Ten or more

Type / focus of work experience preferred: Leadership, bank compliance, fraud identification and mitigation
